Breaking: LA and Calif. Reeling After Woke, Anti-Trump Antics Drive Out Paramount, Taking up to $21B in Output, 60K Jobs, and $1B in Taxes:

New reports say that Paramount is packing its bags and leaving California after state officials refuse to drop a lawsuit to block Paramount’s merger with Warner Bros. Discovery.

As noted by Variety, the Trump administration is siding with Paramount against states trying to block the merger. The Department of Justice approved the merger in June.

Islamists already own the UK!-----If you need any more evidence that an Islamic blasphemy law has taken root in Britain, look no further than the case of Stephen Gray.

A former police officer who gave 30 years of public service had a knock at the door from the police after his neighbour reported him for reposting something on Facebook.  - Connie Shaw
  • In April, Stephen was convicted of being “grossly offensive” — an offence under the Communications Act 2003 — for reposting a joke about Islam.
The post featured an image of a rasher of bacon and a man in a turban, accompanied by the text:
“Fun facts about bacon! People who eat bacon have a lower chance of marrying a 9 year old!”
While giving evidence, Stephen explained that the post was a reference to the marriage between the Prophet Mohammed and Aisha, which occurred when she was six and was consummated when she was nine.
It was a satirical post, but also sought to make a serious point about child marriage.

'A long history of scandal': Soros DA Larry Krasner referred by judge for criminal investigation * WorldNetDaily * by WND Staff

Billionaire influencer George Soros long has funded the political campaigns of leftist prosecutors, and in turn they've used their offices to pursue an agenda of leniency for criminals. Now one is facing trouble for doing just that. A report at the Federalist explains that Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner and a top deputy, Matthew Stielger, have been referred for criminal investigation by a federal judge.

What kind of country will we leave to our children?

The Democrats believe the unpopular war can at last halt Trump’s momentum and are already declaring it all but lost.

The Iranian theocracy agrees. - Victor Davis Hanson
It will do its best to ratchet up tensions with a series of October surprises in hopes that Trump loses control of Congress...
But it is often forgotten that two other groups may also be gaming the midterms with October surprises of their own—and in quite different ways.
  • If Iranian dissidents—35,000 of whom were killed by their own government in January—believe that a Democratic takeover of Congress would benefit the murderous regime they hate, then they may face very different deadlines and renewed incentives to resist. The embattled opposition, suffering existential food and energy shortages, might conclude that if the regime is tottering in October, this may be its last chance to overthrow it before Democrats restrain Trump and spare the hated mullahs.
  • The same mindset might be embraced by some 10–15 million restive Iranian Kurds, who periodically resist the theocracy in Tehran. If they, too, believe that ascendant post-midterm Democrats might defund the current American strikes against the theocracy, or that Trump will eventually be pressured into ending American involvement, then they may see overthrowing the hated regime as a now-or-never proposition.
The point is not what might actually happen if the Democratic opposition controls Congress or otherwise pressures Trump this fall to end the conflict.
The key, instead, is the perception that it would...

Will we need a wall on our northern border??!!

It's all about tuition money!-----Yale University president Maurie McInnis released a report...that acknowledged the issues afflicting the Ivy League, from exploding tuition to runaway grade inflation and theatrically intolerant student activists.

Yale University president Maurie McInnis... - Washington Free Beacon | Facebook - Washington Free Beacon
  • McInnis’s response to how Yale will tackle grade inflation was similarly dispiriting. While we might think it’s “easy to fix grade inflation,” she said, it actually requires “multiple institutions,” as well as “K-12,” because Yale students arrive on campus so fragile they are actually incapable of receiving anything but an A. Students “have never seen anything other than an A their entire lives, and it can be really challenging for the faculty who are the first trying to give that student that grade that is not an A,” she said. Maybe it’s time for a committee on faculty fragility?
  • Were Yale to implement an honest grading regime, she added, “What you would hear from the students are [sic] ‘Well then, you’re putting me at a disadvantage when I apply to medical school...
But that would mean standing up to activist and entitled students, something McInnis evidently isn’t yet prepared to do.
Don’t worry, though, there is a committee, and “we will see what comes out of this committee.”

Would be a nice fit!

The complaint even notes federal courts "have recognized a pattern of Dearborn preferencing Islam over other religions, in violation of U.S. law. In 2011, the 6th Circuit ruled that Dearborn violated free speech and religious exercise by banning a pastor from sharing Christian pamphlets at the city's Arab festival. In 2013, the city paid $300,000 to resolve similar claims after police arrested Christians for talking about Jesus at the same festival. In 2015, the 6th Circuit again ruled that local government had unlawfully removed Christians from preaching to a 'hostile' crowd at the Arab festival, violating their freedom of speech. In that case the surrounding county paid $200,000 in attorneys' fees to AFLC for enforcing what the en banc court judged was an impermissible heckler's veto," the report said.

The official poverty rate landed at 10.2%, matching the lowest level ever measured — first hit in 2019, during Trump’s own first term.
  • Median household income climbed 2.6% to $87,460, 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐝, which was also set under Trump.

Bessent didn’t stop there.

'Pro-criminal alien policies': Local officials subpoenaed by Congress over immigration practices * WorldNetDaily * by Bob Unruh

Just review how many local jurisdictions have claimed to be "sanctuary" cities where illegal aliens are protected from the federally defined consequences of their own illegal behavior. Those policies, in fact, are set by the president, and there is oversight by Congress for the impact of the laws it has adopted.

New York's Board of Regents just voted to stop requiring students to pass Regents exams to graduate.

The class of 2028 will be the first to earn a diploma without passing one. - The College Investor
Nationally, 45% of high school seniors now score below Basic in math (meaning they can't show even partial mastery of grade-level work) and that's the worst result NAEP has ever recorded.
  • When a student arrives at college underprepared, they pay tuition for remedial courses that award no degree credit.
  • Fewer than 10% of students placed into remediation finish an associate degree within three years.

Victor Davis Hanson: Mark Carney Is Leading Canada ‘Right Over the Cliff’

His economy has lost 41,000 jobs.
It depends on exporting to the United States 72% to 76% of all of its products. - Victor Davis Hanson
...he depends on a 4 million-barrel export a day to the United States...
  • This new relationship with China, they’re bringing in 48,000 low-tariff...EVs. They’re going to ruin what little they had left of the Canadian auto industry.
  • But more importantly, that trade agreement is ushering in a whole set of new agreements, some of them military.
Does Canada know, does Mark Carney know, that if Canada negotiates a special military relationship with China and it’s on our borders and we have NATO relations, that will endanger the alliance and it will permanently wreck the relationship between Canada and the United States?...

Now new reports this week are confirming a new $130 million scheme involving the "homeless" in Los Angeles has triggered allegations of criminal fraud. According to a social media statement from Fox, "Four people have been charged by the DOJ in a $130 million homeless fraud scheme. At least $18 million reportedly went toward a home in Greece, a vacation in Tahiti, and a million-dollar nightclub in Los Angeles."
