Migrants in Tijuana regret caravan - WND:

Image result for wikicommons images migrants at borderLocal officials say another 2,000 in nearby Mexicali are expected to make their way toward Tijuana this week.
But Fox News said the migrants “are tired, restless and growing frustrated by the reality that it’s proving much more difficult to get across the border than they had anticipated.”
A member of Tijuana’s local government, Delegate Genaro Lopez Moreno, said, according to Fox News, that it’s costing the municipality $30,000 to $40,000 dollars a day to take care of the migrants.
He blames the caravan organizers, who he believes sold the migrants a false hope.

"American business journalist Joe Nocera writes in a Bloomberg article about "how badly things have deteriorated for the U.S. car makers," after the recent news that both General Motors and Ford will soon be exiting the sedan market in the country.
Slashdot reader gollum123 shares the report:
Much of the analysis about Ford and GM's exit from the sedan market stressed that sedan sales have lost ground in recent years "as consumers have gravitated toward pickup trucks and sport-utility vehicles," as the New York Times put it. If you look at the historical sales figures of the top Japanese sedans, you'll see a small decline in recent years, but nothing like the big drop-off in sales that have hammered the American companies. So in addition to the overall decline in sedan sales, there is a second, largely overlooked, dynamic taking place: Americans have only stopped buying American sedans, not Japanese sedans. The American car companies now say they are going to count on profits from trucks and SUVs while moving toward autonomous and all-electric vehicles. They had better hope that transition takes place quickly.

I couldn't help noticing that while the top three selling vehicles in the U.S. are, indeed, American-made trucks, No. 4 on the list is Nissan's top SUV, the Rogue, the sales of which have gone from 18,000 in 2007 to 403,000 last year. No. 5 is a Toyota SUV, the Rav4 (407,000 in 2017). No. 6 is the Honda CR-V (378,000). And the leading American SUV? It's the Chevy Equinox. Last year, Chevrolet sold 290,000 of them -- 100,000 fewer than the Toyota Camry."

Louie Gohmert: GOP 'Going to Lose' Every Election if Wall is Not Funded:

Image result for flickr commons images Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX)Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) says the Republican Party will lose every national election in the future if President Trump’s central campaign promise, a border wall, is not funded by the end of the year.
In an exclusive interview with SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News Tonight, Gohmert told Senior Editors-at-Large Rebecca Mansour and Joel Pollak that the GOP must approve $25 billion in border wall funding to stop soaring illegal immigration at the U.S.-Mexico border or risk losing every election “from now on.”
Gohmert said:

This is pure, raw politics,” he said. “This is causing people to analyze it in terms of justice, in terms of judicial procedure. That’s not relevant here! It’s one giant scam. I’ll tell you this. Of all the things Donald Trump’s been accused of in his life, this is probably the thing of which he is the most innocent! That’s what’s laughable about this”
Limbaugh explained while people have been led to believe that the Justice Department “is above and beyond corruption,” that’s not true.

Mr. Obama also promoted policies designed to curb fossil-fuel usage and production, including the Clean Power Plan; the federal methane rule; federal restrictions on hydraulic fracturing; the rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline, and the Paris climate accord.
At Rice, the tuxedo-clad former president also gave himself a pat on the back for the stock market.

The Lowdown on the Miscreant Who Got Us into this Mess: Woodrow Wilson | Spengler

The Lowdown on the Miscreant Who Got Us into this Mess: Woodrow Wilson | Spengler:

Image result for flickr commons images Woodrow WilsonSo utterly utopian was Wilson’s vision that it is unfair to characterize the internationalism of Bill Clinton or George W. Bush as “Wilsonian.” Clinton and Bush threw America’s weight around after the collapse of the Soviet Union, but they did not propose—as Wilson did—to replace America’s sovereign decision-making with a global council. Wilson’s League of Nations was closer to the conspiracy theorists’ notion of the United Nations. The commonplace belief that minor concessions on his part would have won ratification of the League of Nations treaty is untenable.
A definitive Wilson biography remains to be written. To make sense of his grand overreach in 1919, historians will need to give more attention to his rancor at the U.S. Constitution and his Southerner’s sense of aggrievement over the Civil War. His was a deep, abiding passion for the Lost Cause and a smoldering hatred for those who crushed it. Of the Confederacy, Wilson rhapsodized in his history of the United States:

Global Warming Alarmism Meets a Blizzard of Reality

Global Warming Alarmism Meets a Blizzard of Reality--By Brian C. Joondeph
"In a bit of irony lost on big media, the government, on the eve of winter and during a slew of recent snowstorms, released a doomsday report on global warming.
As reported in the New York Times:
See the source image"A major scientific report issued by 13 federal agencies on Friday presents the starkest warnings to date of the consequences of climate change for the United States, predicting that if significant steps are not taken to rein in global warming, the damage will knock as much as 10 percent off the size of the American economy by century’s end."
Electing Democrats could do far more damage...
...The climate assessment is based on computer models, attempting to predict events 50 to 100 years in the future.
...This climate assessment originated in Congress. “The Global Change Research Act of 1990 mandates that the U.S. Global Change Research Program (USGCRP) deliver a report to Congress and the President no less than every four years.”
Why not a similar economic assessment for other initiatives such as a carbon tax, Medicare-for-all, raising taxes on “the rich”, or continued open borders and amnesty for illegals?..."

Trump and Republicans Appeal to Men with Fragile Masculinity, Researchers Find
"President Donald Trump appeals to men with fragile masculinity, two researchers from New York University wrote in analysis published in The Washington Post.
See the source imageThey also said Republican candidates facing a Democrat drew more support in areas with higher levels of fragile masculinity in 2018 House races.
NYU Psychology professor Eric Knowles and doctoral student Sarah DiMuccio queried 300 men on Amazon's crowdsourcing platform Mechanical Turk to discover whether they had or would search for terms such as "erectile dysfunction," "how to get girls," "penis enlargement," "testosterone," and "Viagra," among others.
...The researchers also checked relations between fragile masculinity and voting in 2008 and 2012, finding "that the correlation of fragile masculinity and voting in presidential elections was distinctively stronger in 2016" than it was when John McCain and Mitt Romney were Republican presidential candidates.
...This suggests that fragile masculinity has now become a stronger predictor of voting behavior."...

IRS Admits It Encourages Illegals To Steal Social Security Numbers For Taxes

IRS Admits It Encourages Illegals To Steal Social Security Numbers For Taxes:

Image result for flickr commons images IRSThis isn’t exactly the kind of story the IRS wants buzzing around at tax time. The IRS and Justice Department normally want 'scared straight' stories just before Tax Day. Ideally, when an indictment or conviction for tax evasion hits the news, it makes you think twice. Somehow, you think just a bit more about all those deductions, or if you really reported all your income, before you sign your return under penalties of perjury.
Instead, we have the top dog at the IRS, the IRS Commissioner himself, admitting that, well, there’s a problem with illegal immigrants and taxes. In fact, the top IRS official this time wasn’t talking about how the IRS wipes some hard drives or can’t find emails. He wasn’t even asking for a bigger budget to give bonuses to IRS employees.

Minneapolis Installs Sharia Hotline to Report Americans Who Criticize Islam - News Punch"
"The city of Minneapolis has set up a hotline for residents to report citizens who criticize Islam, in order to investigate them for “hate crimes”, according to statements on the city’s website.
The city, run by Democrat Mayor Besty Hodges, a non-Muslim who regularly wears a hijab in public, will operate the “service” through its 3-1-1 helpline, and claims it is targeting any “harassing behaviors motivated by prejudice”, according to a press release.
The city’s Department of Civil Rights clearly states on its website that it only enforces hate crimes against certain “protected classes.”
Muslim imams, as members of the “protected class,” can preach the destruction of America from a Minneapolis mosque, and they will not be prosecuted.
A city official also admitted the creation of the sharia hotline was the election of President Trump and that the targets are his supporters.
