- I have to say, the more the Establishment goes after Trump the more I’m inclined to say: Whatever his flaws, we hafta back him. The Establishment appears to be trying to rig the entire system for good and all. I don’t know anyone else standing in their way. Only Trump, as far as I can determine at this point.
In that regard, Andrea Widburg has a good article this evening in which she maintains that this will only make Trump stronger in the long run.
But here’s a key excerpt:

Ignore the obligatory cover language about “our Constitution.” The key words are “I’m making sure he…does not become the next President again.” Today, we learned what Biden’s insurance policy is, and it has nothing to do with the Constitution. Instead, the Department of Justice is preparing the groundwork to bring criminal charges against Trump. That these charges are baseless is irrelevant. The point is to sideline the man Biden fears most.
