For the first time in American history, troops from Communist China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) will openly be on sovereign American soil starting early next week, as reported by the right-of-center news portal Canada Free Press (via Google News) on Nov. 8, 2013 and also by China's governmental controlled Xinhua News Agency on Nov. 6, 2013.

Almost totally ignored by the American media, PLA troops will be in Hawaii from the 12th through the 14th of this month, to be hosted by the U.S. military's Pacific Command, also headquartered in the Aloha State.

Communist Chinese troops will be participating in the U.S. government's massive GridEx II military, quasi-military and civilian emergency response exercise.

The New York Times reported on Aug. 16, 2013 that GridEx II specifically is consists of:

... thousands of utility workers, business executives, National Guard officers, F.B.I. antiterrorism experts and officials from government agencies in the United States, Canada and Mexico are preparing for an emergency drill in November that will simulate physical attacks and cyberattacks that could take down large sections of the power grid.

They will practice for a crisis unlike anything the real grid has ever seen, and more than 150 companies and organizations have signed up to participate.

The imam said it is a “misconception” that Shariah law allows for abuse, slavery and the stoning of homosexuals, and the tribunal will only deal with civil matters. Criminal issues will be left to the state.
“Cutting the hand off or chopping the head — this is not Shariah. It is not Shariah,” Bakhach stated. “What we see overseas now with ISIS, ISIL, the whole Muslim world condemn that and rejected it, unacceptable.”

He told the BBC he could not see who would be willing to put up more loans to bolster Greece's struggling economy.
Greece wants to re-negotiate its bailout, but Mr Greenspan said "I don't think it will be resolved without Greece leaving the eurozone".
Earlier, UK Chancellor George Osborne said a Greek exit would cause "deep ructions" for Britain.

Omaha Sen. Ernie Chambers said all white people are racist and that his blood was “polluted” by white people last week while filibustering a bill and lambasting a state education board member who has rejected calls for his resignation after his blog called the president a “half-breed.”

Chambers, a 77-year-old African American senator who is the state’s longest serving lawmaker, made the comments about race while filibustering a bill that would increase the fee for marriage licenses.

Gone are the days that the president makes false claims that 1 in 5 women will be sexually assaulted while in college. Now 20 percent of all women in America have been raped or nearly raped. And 25 percent of American women — not just college women — have experienced domestic violence.
Let’s just think about that for a minute.
The current population of the U.S. is 316.1 million, with women comprising about half.
That means there are about 158 million women and girls in the U.S.
If 20 percent of American women have been raped or almost raped, that’s a total of 31.6 million women, which is somewhere between the populations of Texas and California."

DENVER—Everyone in Colorado from Republicans to marijuana moguls wants to stop welfare cash from being used to buy recreational pot, but standing in their way are the state’s formidable legislative Democrats.

Despite mounting evidence that “welfare for weed” is more than an urban myth, Democratic legislators are balking at a bill that would add marijuana dispensaries and strip clubs to the list of places, along with casinos and liquor stores, where debit-style benefits cards cannot be used to withdraw cash from automatic teller machines, or ATMs.

...The bill received preliminary approval Friday from the state Senate, where Republicans hold an 18-17 edge. 

The stumbling block lies with House Democrats, who hold a 34-31 majority and have shown no enthusiasm for the measure.

Why? 

Last year, Democrats said they were worried about limiting access for welfare recipients, many of whom don’t have bank accounts and may find it difficult to locate nearby ATMs in their neighborhoods. 

Democrats were also dubious about whether EBT cardholders were really blowing public dollars on pot.

...But investigations by other media outlets have shown that the problem is more than a myth. 

On Thursday, Fox31 Denver reported that at least 17 lbs. of marijuana were likely purchased with public dollars in 2014, based on an examination of all ATM transactions using the EBT card in state marijuana dispensaries...”
