How the ‘Evil Called Barack Obama’ Enabled the Genocide of Nigerian Christians - American Thinker

How the ‘Evil Called Barack Obama’ Enabled the Genocide of Nigerian Christians - American Thinker
"Not only is Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari behind what several international observers are calling a “genocide” of Christians in his nation, but Barack Hussein Obama played a major role in the Muslim president’s rise to power.
These two interconnected accusations are increasingly being made -- not by “xenophobic” Americans but Nigerians themselves, including several leaders and officials.
Most recently, Femi Fani-Kayode, Nigeria’s former minister of culture and tourism, wrote in a Facebook post:

What Obama, John Kerry and Hilary Clinton did to Nigeria by funding and supporting Buhari in the 2015 presidential election and helping Boko Haram in 2014/2015 was sheer wickedness and the blood of all those killed by the Buhari administration, his Fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram over the last 5 years are on their hands.
Kerry’s and Clinton’s appeasement of Boko Haram -- an Islamic terror organization notorious for massacring, enslaving, and raping Christians, and bombing and burning their churches -- is apparently what connects them to this “sheer wickedness.”
...Available statistics have shown that between 11,500 and 12,000 Christian deaths were recorded in the past 57 months or since June 2015 when the present central [Buhari-led] government of Nigeria came on board. Out of this figure, Jihadist Fulani herdsmen accounted for 7,400 Christian deaths, Boko Haram 4,000 and the ‘Highway Bandits’ 150-200.”
How and why Fulani tribesman have managed to kill nearly twice as many Christians as the “professional” terrorists of Boko Haram -- and exponentially more Christians than under Jonathan -- may be discerned from the following quotes by various Christian leaders and others:
  • “They [Fulani] want to strike Christians, and the government does nothing to stop them, because President Buhari is also of the Fulani ethnic group.” -- Bishop Matthew Ishaya Audu of Lafia, 2018.
  • “Under President Buhari, the murderous Fulani herdsmen enjoyed unprecedented protection and favoritism... Rather than arrest and prosecute the Fulani herdsmen, security forces usually manned by Muslims from the North offer them protection as they unleash terror with impunity on the Nigerian people.” -- Rev. Musa Asake, the General Secretary of the Christian Association of Nigeria, 2018.
  • Buhari “is openly pursuing an anti-Christian agenda that has resulted in countless murders of Christians all over the nation and destruction of vulnerable Christian communities.” -- Bosun Emmanuel, the secretary of the National Christian Elders Forum, 2018.
  • Buhari “is himself from the jihadists’ Fulani tribe, so what can you expect?” -- Emmanuel Ogebe, Washington D.C.-based human rights lawyer, in conversation with me, 2018.
Based on all these developments, statistics and accusations, it seems clear that the Muslim president is behind the unfolding genocide of Christians in Nigeria -- and Obama helped."

...Network newsmen are doing their best to impersonate the protagonist of Edvard Munch’s painting ‘The Scream’.
Hysteria, not accuracy, is the order of the day.
A case in point was the footage aired by CBS that purportedly depicted the chaos of an overrun hospital in the US.
Only after the network was called out did it admit its ‘mistake’ in airing footage from an Italian hospital.
...On April 3, several weeks into the outbreak, the US has had about 7,000 fatalities.
So what if the model is wrong?
‘But a couple of weeks ago you said there would only be hundreds of deaths.’
Yes, I did. I got that wrong, but just how wrong is not clear...

Barr said the federal government may weigh in to support any lawsuits against states they believe are pushing lockdown limits too far. One state that is likely to fit the bill is Michigan, where hundreds have flaunted distancing guidelines to protest at the state capital, arguing Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is abusing her authority.

Whitmer to Michigan: Stay Home and Shut Up | RealClearPolitics
"WASHINGTON -- When historians look back at America's handling of the coronavirus outbreak, they likely will cite Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer as the best example of how not to contain a pandemic in your state.
The Democratic governor has turned her state into the heart of COVID-19 resistance.
Image result for gov. whitmer protestOn Wednesday, protesters shut down the roads in Lansing, the state's capital, in a protest dubbed "Operation Gridlock."
Whitmer responded to the outrage of her constituents thusly: "I know that people are angry and that's OK, and if you want to take it out and send it my way, if it makes you feel better, that's fine. I support your right to free speech, and I respect your opinions. I just urge you, don't put yourself at risk and don't put others at risk either. I was really disappointed to see people congregating, not wearing masks. I saw someone handing out candy to little kids bare-handed."
She did everything but brand her critics "barbarians at the gate" -- unwashed hordes who stand against the good people who stay home and don't make waves -- when her provocative attitude and policies truly were a problem.
Consider the name of her stay-at-home orders: "Temporary requirement to suspend activities that are not necessary to sustain or protect life."
Her order should have prohibited activities that spread the virus -- that's what public safety requires. Instead, Whitmer took her moment of power to tell her own constituents that they should not do anything that possibly could make their confinement more pleasant or productive..."

Don Surber: Newspapers and Manhattan are screwed
See the source image"Gradually it is dawning on people that the big losers in COVID-19 are fracking, airlines, hotels, restaurants, newspapers, and New York City.
The first three are resilient because they have weathered many a business cycle but the latter three are devastated.
One industry in peril that does not get mentioned is the automotive industry, particularly those who service vehicles.
...COVID-19 hastens the newspaper industry's demise
Local ads are all they have left and most local businesses are closed.
...There are plenty of stories about this because the media loves bemoaning its problems.
...Tax revenues will fall.
City services will falter.
Manhattan will be like it was in the 1970s again, only there is no young Donald John Trump on the horizon to reverse the fleeing, and there is no Rudy Giuliani to fight the crime.
This is tragic.
8 million people will suffer for a far longer time than most people realize.
...The New York Times is wrong.
COVID-19 will not kill small-town America.
Bristol will come back.
Car factories will re-open.
They will need Freudenberg parts.
No, COVID-19 is killing the biggest town in America."

Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) said the left seems “obsessed” with blaming President Donald Trump for the spread of the coronavirus in the United States, even more so than China — where it originated from and where authorities tried to hide its outbreak, in an interview with Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Daily on Tuesday.
“They beclown themselves in the process because it’s very difficult to argue something when the evidence is stacked against you,” Crenshaw told host and Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow.

Do face masks work? | Spectator USA

Do face masks work? | Spectator USA
  • Coronavirus is not a reason for us to accept arbitrary impositions or abandon our traditions of rational discourse

  • Governments may make them mandatory, but how much protection do they offer?
  • "Should we, or should we not be compelled to wear face masks during a virus epidemic?
...If we are to be told that decisions are scientifically justified, we need a discussion about that scientific basis, not just be told to take our medicine.
...The surgical-type face masks, more likely to be used in developed countries, are a bit better.
They have pores typically three times larger than the virus particles, rather than the one to five thousand times larger for the cloth masks.
Better, but still not good enough to filter out viruses.
...But the thing to understand about this science is that those breathing-in factors represent the very best that could possibly be achieved.
...In other tests, masks are better at filtering out large droplets.
...The mask may protect you a bit, but it may well not.
...The point is: does any of what is out there add up to a watertight case for compelling people to wear masks in public or at work (outside a healthcare setting)?
The threshold for compulsion must surely be higher than ‘maybe’ and ‘perhaps’.
But if it really is the case that the threshold for regulatory compulsion is being approached, it should be a simple matter for our scientific advisers to present it to us and allow time for it to be critically discussed in relation to a real-world setting, before government imposes measures upon us all...

"...So why did Democrats delay?
Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) explained it rather succinctly in a virtual press conference.
"I think what you're hearing from all of us on the call is that we have real concerns about giving away leverage now without getting some of the priorities that we need," she said.
Huh.
What are the "priorities" that Democrats "need"?
Why, "structural" reforms to American law, of course!
After all, last month, Democrats stalled the $2 trillion stimulus bill and presented their own alternative version jam-packed with pet projects like Green New Deal-style energy regulations on airlines, collective bargaining for unions, a $15/hour minimum wage, and sixty pages on elections..."
