SURRENDER: How Minneapolis voluntarily relinquished its streets to a mob of vandals, thieves, and arsonists - American Experiment

SURRENDER: How Minneapolis voluntarily relinquished its streets to a mob of vandals, thieves, and arsonists - American Experiment
"...Why did the authorities—particularly Jacob Frey, the 38-year-old rookie Minneapolis Mayor, and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz—fail so spectacularly?
  • Is it because they couldn’t do anything to prevent the cities sliding into chaos, a worrying enough possibility in itself?
  • Or is it because, out of sympathy with even the more extreme elements responsible for this mayhem, they wouldn’t act as needed?
An examination of the events of those four days in May reveals the total failure of city and state officials.

Shortly after Floyd’s death at 9:25 p.m. on Monday, May 25, a video of his arrest began circulating on social media and quickly went viral...Read all!

VIDEO: Should Democrat Party pay slavery reparations? Young people think so
  • Campus Reform recently spoke to young Americans about paying reparations to the descendants of slaves.
  • Most students supported the idea, and agreed that the Democratic Party should pay reparations for its past support of slavery.
"Campus Reform recently asked young Americans if they support reparations for slavery. Most said they supported the idea.
“In principle, it seems like a totally tight idea,” one individual responded.
“Yeah of course,” another added. “I just feel like [descendants of slaves] deserve it.”
...“It should be the Democrats paying,” another individual said. “The Republicans didn’t do it...they were trying to end slavery.”...Read all.

President Trump wittily shuts down a snarky reporter - American Thinker

President Trump wittily shuts down a snarky reporter - American Thinker
"When Trump was at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, he did what he so often does – he gave an impromptu press conference.
Before it began, either Trump or his team told a crowd of people who were at the club that they were welcome to stick around to listen to him take the reporters’ questions.
One of the reporters opened, not with a question, but with an accusation.
“You said that the pandemic is disappearing, but we lost 6,000 Americans this week, And just in this room, you have dozens of people that are not following guidelines in New Jersey, which say we should not have more than 25 people….”
Trump answered, “No, they don’t have to. It’s a political activity….”
At that point, the people assembled booed the reporter so loudly that the President fell silent. When the room was quiet again, he resumed.
“You’re wrong about that because it’s a political activity. They have exceptions. Political activity. And it’s also a peaceful protest.”
The room exploded with laughter, as Trump continued, “And as you know, they asked if they could be here.
And to me they look like they all have, they pretty much all have masks on.
You have an exclusion in the law.
It says peaceful protest or political activity, right?
It says exactly, political activity or peaceful protests. And you can call it political activity, but I would call it peaceful protests because they heard you were coming up and they know the news is fake.
They understand it better than anybody.”
...A president with that kind of quick wit – “I would call it peaceful protests” – is a strong president.
Americans recognize that he has the mental acuity and toughness to take on whatever the world throws at him.
Trump provides a marked contrast to Joe Biden, whose mental acuity visibly deteriorates on a day-by-day basis...Read all.

Madness in Melbourne – AIER

Madness in Melbourne – AIER
"...Australia is the only country in the world that has a law that people can’t be mean to each other.
Now it is host to one of the world’s meanest governments.
The catastrophe began with a spring lockdown before there were any cases of C-19 much less deaths.
...When the virus did arrive, the futility of the suppression strategy was revealed.
...As a result, a nation’s pride in having suppressed the virus turned to panic and full lockdown.
Internal borders are sealed.
And Melbourne has become a living hell, not because of the virus (which is still mild) but because of the unleashing of a hellish police state.
A friend summarized the situation for me:
  • Police may now enter anyone’s home without a warrant.
  • Curfew 8:00pm.
  • $1,652 fine if outside without “a valid reason – an amount being raised by the day
  • Can’t visit any family or friends.
  • $200 fine for no mask (mandatory masks at all times)... READ ON, MUCH MORE!!
This is lockdown ideology at work.
It is tyranny without limit, at the expense of all human dignity, decency, and rights. The politicians make a desert and call it health.
...Lockdowns are not science; they are brutality.
I cry for the once-great city of Melbourne this day..."

Governor Whitmer Bars The Press From Her Press Conference

Governor Whitmer Bars The Press From Her Press Conference
"Can Governor Whitmer get anymore dictatorial than she has been?
The answer is a resounding yes.

    See the source image
  • Governor Whitmer has now banned the press from actually attending her PRESS conference.
  • It does not end there, she then would only consider taking their questions if they submitted questions electronically.
  • It does not even end there, she would then choose just 6 questions she wanted to answer and skip the ones she preferred not to answer.
  • It does not even end there, the reporters were given permission by Whitmer to watch her answer those 6 questions via Zoom. The 6 reporters whose questions were chosen by the Governor were not allowed to ask any follow-up questions.

You really can not make this stuff up.
...The Detroit News editorial board stated:
“She has manipulated ambiguous state laws regarding gubernatorial emergency powers to claim total control of state government and strip the Legislature of its oversight role...
Will the Michigan Supreme Court save the citizens of Michigan, only time will tell...

World's Top Epidemiologists - Masks Don't Work! | Zero Hedge
"Denmark boasts one of the lowest COVID-19 death rates in the world.
As of August 4, the Danes have suffered 616 COVID-19 deaths, according to figures from Johns Hopkins University.
...Danes aren’t wearing face masks, and local authorities for the most part aren’t even recommending them.
They responded by noting there is little conclusive evidence that face masks are an effective way to limit the spread of respiratory viruses.

All these countries recommending face masks haven’t made their decisions based on new studies, said Henning Bundgaard, chief physician at Denmark’s Rigshospitale, according to Bloomberg News.
Denmark is not alone.
...Dutch public health officials recently explained why they’re not recommending masks.
"From a medical point of view, there is no evidence of a medical effect of wearing face masks, so we decided not to impose a national obligation," said Medical Care Minister Tamara van Ark.
Others, echoing statements similar to the US Surgeon General from early March, said masks could make individuals sicker and exacerbate the spread of the virus...
The top immunologists and epidemiologists in the world can’t decide if masks are helpful in reducing the spread of COVID-19. Indeed, we’ve seen organizations like the World Health Organization...
...and the CDC go back and forth in their recommendations...
