Many people have such a deep interest in preserving our heritage but feel helpless and no longer know what to do to preserve it.  Over the years, several concerned individuals have contacted me.  There is such genuine concern for the future of our country.  Our freedom and independence is hanging on a broken limb.

I feel there are more of us who are concerned about the direction of this country than those who are creating chaos. We are not silently standing by watching as our country crumbles into pieces.  We are being silenced.  The true American spirit, anything and everything which makes us unique, our Americana, is being destroyed.  When and why did it become American to be un-American? 

When did it become acceptable to silence those who do not agree with the ruling party?  When did it become fashionable to lie and deceive because it fulfills an agenda?  When did our rights become commodities, easily traded for security?

I know, I know, I’m a racist jerk, blahblahblah. Just get that out of the way first so that I can continue on writing this letter.
Everytime May 5th rolls around, I never even realize it… until some moron blottoed on Negra Modelo wishes me a happy “Cinco De Mayo.”
I don’t know why I’m supposed to care.
Even worse, I don’t know why other people feel compelled to make me care.
It seems that every year, more and more people are pushing this as a legitimate holiday to celebrate in America for no reason other than to congratulate ourselves on our post-ethnocentric, Holiday tolerance.
And believe me, I use that word loosely.
Cinco De Mayo is barely tolerable.
Let me give you an example.
At the disappointing Mayweather-Pacquiao fight this Saturday, they played the Mexican national anthem. Only neither fighter was Mexican.
At first I thought that somebody running the soundboard made a horrible mistake by confusing Manny with one of the many other mini-sized latino boxers, until the announcer came and grabbed the mic.
“In honor of Cinco De Mayo…”
… It was May 2nd.
So not only do we have to act like we care on the day of, but we can now enjoy a useless countdown for the entire week prior.
Listen, if you want to celebrate Cinco De Mayo, fine.
If you want to act like Mexico today is anything other than a bastion of poverty, violations of human rights, corrupt government and drug cartels, that’s fine too.
Their food’s delicious and absolves many sins.
I get it.
But I’ve been to Mexico. 
Not just “tourist” Mexico, but the real Mexico where rich,white, liberal Americans have never dare set foot. 
Heck, most second-generation Mexican immigrants have never been… by choice. 
It’s not a place I feel inclined to celebrate..."

LANSING (WXYZ) - The Michigan Senate drastically overpaid for new office space purchased from a poltically-connected developer, according to Lansing's assessor of record.

William Fowler told Channel 7's Ross Jones that the $41 million purchase price isn't supported by the current real estate market in downtown Lansing.

"Based on everything you know, is this building anywhere near worth $41 million?" asked Channel 7's Ross Jones.

"Not in today’s market," Fowler said, calling the sales price "three times greater than anything that has sold downtown of comparable use."

Fowler says that his office currently has Capitol View assessed at about $12 million, a figure he says is closer to what it’s actually worth.  
Were it to be built brand new today, his office estimates it would cost just under $22 million.

Fowler says his office won’t (use) Capitol View’s sale price as a benchmark for assessing other properties downtown.

NOAA CAUGHT REWRITING US TEMPERATURE HISTORY (AGAIN)

We have written a number of times about how government agencies, including the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration here in the U.S., have systematically adjusted temperature history to make the past look colder. 
They apparently do this, usually surreptitiously and without explanation, in order to stoke global warming hysteria.

Now Mike Brakey, an engineering physicist and heat transfer specialist, has caught NOAArevising historic temperature data for Maine–as always, to make the past look cooler and the present warmer by comparison:

Over the last months I have discovered that between 2013 and 2015 some government bureaucrats have rewritten Maine climate history… (and New England’s and of the U.S.). This statement is not based on my opinion, but on facts drawn from NOAA 2013 climate data vs. NOAA 2015 climate data after they re-wrote it.

We need only compare the data. They cooked their own books (see numbers below...).

This graph presents the data visually.
The black line shows average annual temperatures for Maine from 1895 to the present as they were recorded at the time, and as NOAA published them in 2013.
Thermometers have recorded no net warming since 1895.
The blue line represents NOAA rewritten history as it appears in 2015.
Note how NOAA reduces earlier temperatures more than recent ones to give the graph a plausibly warming trend.
The green line shows average annual temperatures for a single location, Lewiston-Auburn, showing a steep decline since 2000. Click to enlarge:

NOAA has made similar adjustments to past temperatures around the United States. Brakey writes:

It appears NOAA panicked and did a massive rewrite of Maine temperature history (they used the same algorithm for U.S. in general). The new official temperatures from Maine between 1895 and present were LOWERED by an accumulated 151.2°F between 1895 and 2012.

In my opinion, this is out-and-out fraud. Why did they corrupt national climate data? Global warming is a $27 billion business on an annual basis in the U.S alone.

Now NOAA data revised in 2015 indicate that 1904, 1919 and 1925 in Maine were much colder than anything we experience today. (See the scorecard above comparing the NOAA data that are 18 months apart). Note how for 1913 the NOAA lowered the annual temperature a whole 4°F!

For the balance of the years, as they get closer to the present, the NOAA tweaks less and less. They have corrupted Maine climate data between 1895 and present by a whopping accumulated 151.2°F.

However, the Detroit Public School district's most recent evaluations of its own teachers paint a picture of success in 2013-14.
The district gave 8 out of 10 teachers the highest evaluation possible — “highly effective.”
....The percentage of teachers rated highly effective by DPS was twice the state average of 38 percent in 2013-14, the latest year statewide data is available.

Voters in a number of Michigan communities have approved similar measures in recent years.

Last Tuesday, President Obama blamed the GOP-controlled Congress for its failure to fund the “massive investment in urban communities” that could “make a difference.”  
Well, how does $1.8 billion for the 622,000 people of Baltimore sound?  
Pretty massive – actually, just about $2900 for every man, woman, child, and baby of the entire City of Baltimore.

But that’s the total amount of Obama Stimulus money sent to Charm City, according to an analysis by The Free Beacon:

 The city of Baltimore received over $1.8 billion from President Barack Obama’s stimulus law, including $467.1 million to invest in education and $26.5 million for crime prevention.

Moreover, that spending was concentrated in Baltimore’s inner-city areas:

According to Recovery.gov, one of Baltimore’s central ZIP codes, 21201, received the most stimulus funding in the city, a total of$837,955,866. The amount included funding for 276 awards, and the website reports that the spending had created 290 jobs in the fourth quarter in 2013.

Of this amount, $467.1 million went to education; $206.1 million to the environment; $24 million to “family”; $16.1 million to infrastructure; $15.2 million to transportation; $11.9 million to housing; and $3.1 million to job training.

ZIP code 21202 received $425,170,937, including a $136 million grant to “improve teaching and learning for students most at risk of failing to meet State academic achievement standards.”

Twenty-nine other ZIP codes listed in Baltimore city received a total of $568,641,684.

But there is never enough money to meet liberals’ demands.  
And never enough money to solve urban problems rooted in fatherlessness, lack of job skills, horrendous (yet costly) public education, and the perception that entry-level wages are beneath the dignity of the chronically unemployed.

A recent NBC/Wall Street journal survey is not the first to discover that the Republican electorate is now far more concerned with national security and terrorism than they are about the economy.
A full 27 percent described national security as their top priority for the federal government. “That’s followed by the deficit and government spending (24 percent), job creation and economic growth (21 percent) and religious and moral values (12 percent),” NBC News reported.
According to a January Pew Research Center survey, the GOP’s top priorities track reasonably well with the public’s top priorities."
...By contrast, NBC/WSJ became the latest poll to find Democratic voters are primarily concerned with domestic issues starting with the economy and job growth/creation, but also including health care (namely, preserving the Affordable Care Act), and climate change. 
Only 13 percent of Democratic voters believe terrorism and national security should be the federal government’s top priority.
