President Obama: Homeless Women In Shelters Must Shower With Men - Breitbart

President Obama: Homeless Women In Shelters Must Shower With Men - Breitbart:

"Operators of shelters worry that being forced to treat transgender men as women will create a dangerous situation for the homeless women who seek out the shelters to escape abusive relationships.

In fact, John Ashmen, president of the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions, said he’s already heard that the new rules are creating a problematic situation.

“One of the guests at a rescue mission overheard someone on the street saying, ‘Dude, if you go down to the rescue mission and tell them you’re transgender, you can sleep in the women’s dorm and even shower with them,'” Ashmen told the paper. “So that idea is out there, but I don’t know of any missions that have called the police because of it.”"

News - Can America's Debt Growth Be Stopped?

News - Can America's Debt Growth Be Stopped? | Heartland Institute
"Poulson believes that both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump lack credibility when it comes to facing this nation's federal debt crisis.
For Dr. Barry Poulson, University of Colorado's Emeritus Professor of Economics, and co-author of  "Can the Debt Growth Be Stopped?" the nation's debt crisis is an urgent issue that must be addressed in this year's election.
Poulson explained the seriousness of the issue at an event August 3rd at Heartland Institute in Arlington Heights.
Poulson believes that both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump lack credibility when it comes to facing this nation's federal debt crisis, as neither candidate is offering solutions that would halt the federal debt from continuing to grow at an unsustainable rate.
Hillary Clinton wants to increase taxes on the wealthy to fund her ambitious federal program.
Trump is proposing a tax cut that would definitely reduce revenues over the next decade by $10 trillion.
Furthermore, Clinton wants to significantly boost entitlements;
Trump want entitlement spending protected.
The economics professor cited how the Congressional Office is projecting federal debt increase to equal more than 100% of the national debt over the next decade.
For him, it's highly questionable whether higher tax rates would increase tax revenues in the long run. Instead, they would foster retardation and stagnation in economic growth.
Poulson's solution to this nation's $20 trillion federal debt crisis, and the impending financial collapse of this Nation's economy, calls for a new fiscal rule, a national debt brake, similar to the fiscal rules enacted in Switzerland.
The Swiss Debt Brake requires that expenditures are equal to revenue in a given year adjusted for the ratio of actual income to potential income.
Potential income is estimated using the trend rate of growth in income in prior years..."

New Black Panther Leader on Milwaukee Riots: "This Is a War"

New Black Panther Leader on Milwaukee Riots: "This Is a War" | The Daily Sheeple:
"You can see where all this race baiting is headed, can’t you?
Especially when they try to get the guy to say this is a “civil war” instead of what he did say.
The system would love us to fight amongst ourselves instead of the tyranny of an oppressive system that’s robbing the wealth out from under 99.999% of Americans in this country…
Via Breitbart:
Responding to the latest violent incidents in Milwaukee over the weekend, Babu Omowale, the so-called national minister of defense for the People’s New Black Panther Party, declared  “Is it a war? Yes, it is.  It’s a war against black people because we’re the ones being murdered.”
newblackpanthers-armedgunsAsked if the riots in Milwaukee following the police shooting on Saturday of an armed assailant fleeing the scene amounted to a “civil war,” Omowale responded thusly:
“The people against terrorism, and tyranny in their community is not a civil war. When you are speaking about civil war, you are talking about a country fighting against a country. This is oppressed people fighting against a racist, white supremacist police system. Which is meant to oppress a certain group of people. More than likely black people and poor people around the country.”
“What you see is people lashing out and fighting against the system. As it is said in the Second Amendment, you know. So this is not new. The people in this country have always defended themselves against tyranny. So I can’t liken this to a civil war. No it’s not. Is it a war? Yes, it is. It’s a war against black people because we’re the ones being murdered. We’re the ones being killed. So there’s been a war against us. But is it a civil war? I can’t say that that’s the case.”
Omowale admitted that the extent of his knowledge about the shooting in Milwaukee is limited to what has been presented by the news media. However, he called the incident “basically the same old, same old that is happening around the country. Black men are being murdered.”

Concealed-Carry Permit Holders Are the Most Law-Abiding Americans | PJ Media:

"A new study from the Crime Prevention Research Center shows that the most law-abiding  Americans are those with a permit to conceal a firearm.

“Indeed, it is impossible to think of any other group in the U.S. that is anywhere near as law-abiding,” says the report, titled “Concealed Carry Permit Holders Across the United States 2016.”

The study compared the rate of criminal offense of concealed-carry permit holders with police officers for the states of Florida and Texas.  The study asserts that the populations of Florida and Texas mirror the overall US population."

Germany’s Threat to the Global Economy

Germany’s Threat to the Global Economy | Economics21:
"A striking feature of a US election campaign focused on the supposed ills of globalization is how little attention is being drawn to Germany’s extraordinarily large external current account surplus. This is all the more surprising considering how much larger are Germany’s external imbalances in relation to those of China.
While the IMF now estimates that China’s external current account surplus might be some 1 to 3 percent of GDP above an appropriate level, it estimates that Germany’s is some 3 to 6 percent of GDP too high.
Similarly while the IMF considers that after years of appreciation China’s exchange rate is now approximately at an appropriate level, it considers that the exchange rate Germany faces is now between 10 and 20 percent too low for that country.
That Germany is running a disturbingly large external imbalance is hardly open to question. According to the most recent official balance of payments data, Germany’s external current account deficit rose to the highest level on record.
It is now on track to remain above 8.5 percent of gross domestic product for the year as a whole, which would be around three times the size of China’s current account surplus.
Making this surplus all the more troubling is the fact that it is occurring at a time when the German economy is cyclically in a very much stronger position than its European partners..."

B.C. doctors earned millions in case management fees

B.C. doctors earned millions in case management fees | Vancouver Sun:
"Millions of dollars in incentives paid to B.C. doctors for treating patients with multiple chronic illnesses didn’t reduce hospital visits or increase patient care in the first years after its introduction, says research published today.
Image result for canadian healthcare cartooThe study, led by Simon Fraser University’s Ruth Lavergne, concludes that a 2007 “complex care management” fee merely increased compensation for family doctors rather than reducing health costs or improving treatment, as predicted.
“This is just one study, but there are others in Canada and internationally that point to the fact that payment incentives alone aren’t likely to bring about the changes we need in primary care,”  Lavergne, an assistant professor in the health sciences faculty, said in an interview.
The complex care fee cost taxpayers an annual average of $43 million in its first three years.
The most recent Ministry of Health fee-for-service report shows doctors billed just under $56 million to oversee 174,893 complex patients in 2014-15, in addition to regular office visit fees and other billing."

Leaked Soros Foundation Docs Reveal Machiavellian Agenda - Rachel Marsden:

"Publicly available tax filings reveal that Soros' Open Society Institute gives tens of millions of dollars to domestic activist groups in America involved in mobilizing local citizens for such protests. The Washington Times reported last year that Soros gave at least $33 million in one year to activist groups that were behind the protests that took place in Ferguson, Missouri, following the fatal 2014 shooting of Michael Brown by a police officer.

A similar strategy is exported abroad, as the newly leaked documents reveal."

Political Storm Clouds over Europe

Political Storm Clouds over Europe | Economics21:
"At a time that on this side of the Atlantic we are obsessing about the likely outcome of our November elections, political storm clouds are gathering over Europe that could undermine the very existence of the European project.
In the wake of the recent Brexit setback, over the next twelve months Europe has important elections scheduled in Italy, France, Germany, and the Netherlands.
On present trends, those elections could bring further fundamental change to the European economic and political landscape that could cast a long shadow over Europe’s long-run viability..."

South Sudan Troops Raped, Beat Foreign Aid Workers

South Sudan Troops Raped, Beat Foreign Aid Workers
"South Sudanese troops ravaged through a hotel complex frequented by foreign aid workers last month while a United Nations force stood by in a neighboring area and the U.S. Embassy did not act despite repeated pleas for help to both.
The Associated Press reported Monday:
On July 11, South Sudanese troops, fresh from winning a battle in the capital, Juba, over opposition forces, went on a nearly four-hour rampage through a residential compound popular with foreigners, in one of the worst targeted attacks on aid workers in South Sudan’s three-year civil war. They shot dead a local journalist while forcing the foreigners to watch, raped several foreign women, singled out Americans, beat and robbed people, and carried out mock executions, several witnesses told The Associated Press.
For hours throughout the assault, the U.N. peacekeeping force stationed less than a mile away refused to respond to desperate calls for help.
Neither did embassies, including the U.S. Embassy..."

"But further analysis revealed that more than half of those payments went to groups the federal government concealed.

Treasury isn’t keeping complete data on law firms, and activist groups getting taxpayer dollars has transparency advocates worried. The department also frequently redacts names of attorneys getting tax dollars under the Privacy Act, according to an attorney with the Judgement Fund.

“It’s no surprise the Treasury Department is hiding who gets the money in these transactions,” Adam Andrzejewski, Founder and CEO of transparency group OpenTheBooks.com, told TheDCNF. “Because these suits involve the federal government, taxpayers have a right to know where their tax dollars are going and what agendas they’re advancing.”"

Why Couldn't What Happened In Venezuela Happen Here? | PJ Media:
"People are starving in Venezuela, and socialism is to blame.
People are standing in line for food that they will never taste.
Americans love to think such tragedies cannot happen here, but some of us aren't so sure.
"The Venezuelan story still remains for many as the story of another Latin American country that has failed.
We think of it as 'that's Latin America, and we are the United states, and that would never happen here.'
Why would it not happen here?" asked Erick Brimen, founder and partner at NeWay Capital and a member of Freedom Partners Chamber of Commerce.
In a terrifying video, Brimen — who was born and raised in Venezuela — argued that the tragedy of Venezuela could certainly happen here.
"Venezuela had a democracy, a constitution, you know, division of power in government, but people were not educated in the principles of freedom, and they vote for whoever promises more," Brimen warned.

Follow Directions

By Tammy Derouin

There are always people in life that you come in contact with but you don’t understand why until a later time.  When I was in Junior High, I had a teacher that I wouldn’t truly appreciate until later in life.  Like most teachers, he taught more than one subject. I found myself in several of his challenging classes.  He was an extrovert and I was a struggling introvert.  It wasn’t an easy fit.

Eventually, I was assigned to his American Literature class.  He could recite poems and discuss the classics with ease.  He seemed to have a genuine passion for literature. My interest in reading was beginning to develop so I chose one of his suggestions for an upcoming book report.  We were then informed it would be an oral report.  My enthusiasm took a nose dive.

He was tough and there was a little fear upon entering his classroom.  He challenged his students.  If you tried, did your best but most importantly, you didn't give up, there seemed to be a softer edge, if ever so briefly.  We were critiqued and given constructive criticism. Our reward, regardless of the actual grade, was a feeling of accomplishment. We also gained experience and were better equipped for the next report.

He was known for his humorous yet dead on comments.  Looking back, the likes of Benjamin Franklin and Mark Twain must have inspired him.  I’ve also compared his ability to serve up an undeniable and much needed point, with a side of humor, to Ronald Reagan.

As I watched yet another unbelievable week of scandalous deeds and behavior along with the predictable explanation of the Leftist administration and its lap dog press, a fitting saying which was said many times over by my challenging teacher, came to mind.  When all else fails, follow directions.

Now the EPA’s science advisors don’t like their own report on fracking

Now the EPA’s science advisors don’t like their own report on fracking « Hot Air
"The draft report on hydraulic fracturing (“fracking”) from the EPA is nearing the end of its more than five year journey and the findings were a major blow to the green energy crowd.
Try as they might, there simply was no evidence of systemic contamination to ground water or other resources and the report essentially gives the practice a qualified thumbs up.
That didn’t sit well with the major environmentalist donors to the Democrats, so plans have been in the works to sabotage the report.
That showed up this week when the ad hoc panel of science advisors to the EPA released their own rebuttal, claiming that the wording of the report isn’t up to par. (Washington Post)
Science advisers to the Environmental Protection Agency Thursday challenged an already controversial government report on whether thousands of oil and gas wells that rely on hydraulic fracturing, or “fracking,” systemically pollute drinking water across the nation.
That EPA draft report, many years in the making and still not finalized, had concluded, “We did not find evidence that these mechanisms have led to widespread, systemic impacts on drinking water resources in the United States,” adding that while there had been isolated problems, those were “small compared to the number of hydraulically fractured wells.”…
But in a statement sure to prolong the already multiyear scientific debate on fracking and its influence on water, the 30-member advisory panel on Thursday concluded the agency’s report was “comprehensive but lacking in several critical areas.”
It recommended that the report be revised to include “quantitative analysis that supports its conclusion” — if, indeed, this central conclusion can be defended.
This board isn’t even arguing that they have evidence to the contrary. (Which would have been a neat trick since such “evidence” doesn’t appear to exist.)
They simply don’t like the positive nature of the wording and would like to see even more test results than have already been submitted.
They’re not saying that they have proof that fracking is dangerous… they’re just saying that the industry hasn’t proven that it isn’t..."

The federal government declared a major disaster in Louisiana after rampant flooding left six people dead and more than 10,000 in shelters. More than 20,000 people have been rescued from flooding across south Louisiana, Fox News reports.
In Milwaukee, authorities have struggled to control racially-charged riots stemming from the police shooting of an armed suspect on Saturday. Both the suspect and the officer were black. Several videos recording Saturday night appeared to show black rioters chasing down and attacking white passerby. (RELATED: Milwaukee Rioters Hunt Down, Attack Whites)

NASA: Antarctic ice sheet is...wait, showing gains?

NASA: Antarctic ice sheet is...wait, showing gains?:
"...A new NASA study says that an increase in Antarctic snow accumulation that began 10,000 years ago is currently adding enough ice to the continent to outweigh the increased losses from its thinning glaciers.
The research challenges the conclusions of other studies, including the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) 2013 report, which says that Antarctica is overall losing land ice.
According to the new analysis of satellite data, the Antarctic ice sheet showed a net gain of 112 billion tons of ice a year from 1992 to 2001. That net gain slowed to 82 billion tons of ice per year between 2003 and 2008.
All this time, the “melting” of glaciers and ice caps has been the driving force behind leftists claims that we have to run in fear of man made global warming. Except there’s more ice.
Now allow me to clarify, because some of you may be saying “Hey Crowder, ‘more’ is a relative term.” That’s true. But in this case, ‘more’ actually equates to hundreds of billions of tons. That, my friends, is what we call, “statistically significant.”
Here’s some more to chew on; the worst case scenario – meaning the absolute worst case that is even humanly feasible, let alone possible – is that if the net gain continued to slow at its current rate… it would still take at least three decades before we got to a point of beginning to see net losses.
Meaning we’d still gain trillions of tons of ice between now and say 2046 before we started to see a net loss of ice. Meaning at that point, continuing at the worst rate we can possibly project, we’d have many decades before ice volume fell to 2015 levels . Let alone levels of 30 years ago, before this whole scare started.
Sorry, was that too much math?..."

Ontario doctors reject tentative four-year deal, creating situation of ‘complete uncertainty’

Ontario doctors reject tentative four-year deal, creating situation of ‘complete uncertainty’ | National Post:
"Ontario doctors have voted resoundingly to reject a tentative fee agreement with the provincial government, creating a situation of “complete uncertainty” and prolonging an internal battle within the medical profession.
Sixty-three per cent of its members who voted Sunday rejected a four-year deal, the Ontario Medical Association said Monday.
Image result for free medical careThe four-year tentative deal included an annual 2.5 per cent increase to the total budget for doctors’ fees, now about $11.5 billion a year. It included a promise not to impose further cuts on doctors, as the Liberal government did last year and in its 2012 round of bargaining. It included $370 million over the four years to encourage doctors to “co-manage” the system with the provincial health ministry in a bid to reduce costs.
Health Minister Eric Hoskins said was disappointed with the vote, while opposition parties charged the government with poisoning talks from the start by imposing cuts.
It’s now hard to envision a quiet return to the negotiating table.
“The OMA has in some ways weakened itself by exposing its divisions,” said Nelson Wiseman, director of the Canadian studies program at the University of Toronto."
