In a primetime address, President Trump cited FBI documents on a 2020 voter-registration operation out of Muskegon, Michigan, where staff at a “Get Out The Vote” group admitted to
- 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞'𝐬 𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬 on registration forms and
- submitting applications for people who 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘦𝘹𝘪𝘴𝘵,
- collecting gift cards based on how many they produced.
One clerk's office that normally processes about 𝟐𝟓𝟎 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 a month suddenly logged 𝟏𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 in a single month.
Michigan State Police raided the group, and the case eventually reached the FBI in 2023.
