Joe Biden, in the waning days of his tenure in the White House, wanted to put millions of immigrants, including lethal Tren de Aragua gang members, under Temporary Protected Status in order to "trap" the incoming president, Donald Trump, in "years of litigation," according to a memo.
The White House memo was from the final days of Biden's administration and confirmed plans that would have put millions of people under that protection.
Sen. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., obtained the memo from the Archivist of the United States, Edward Forst, through his work at the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee of the Constitution.
