On January 30, a Westchester County, New York jury handed down the first-ever detransitioner malpractice verdict to reach trial — and the patient won. 

• Jurors awarded Fox Varian $𝟐 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧, finding that psychologist Dr. Kenneth Einhorn and surgeon Dr. Simon Chin departed from the standard of care when they approved and performed a 𝐝𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝟏𝟔, back in 2019.

That verdict was not the end of the story. 

It was the opening one...
