For one of the Black-owned firms that built it, the legacy has been a multimillion-dollar unpaid bill and a shutdown.

• Marsh-Adamson, a plumbing subcontractor working under general contractor Turner Construction's Lakeside Alliance joint venture, says it's owed roughly $𝟒 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 for completed work. 
• The company has already laid off 𝟐𝟓 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬, suspended operations, and filed a $1.72 million mechanic's lien against the project in Cook County.
