In her senior year (2014), the boys’ varsity football team’s regular kicker tore his ACL just before the playoffs. 

• After she impressed people by making a long field goal in a halftime kicking contest (while wearing a walking boot from a stress fracture), the coach ASKED HER to fill in as the emergency placekicker. 
• She agreed, completed the required practices, suited up, and converted extra points, becoming the first girl in school history to score for the varsity football team.
