"Jason Chaffetz: The deep state is real
See the source imageWith each successive batch of text messages released between then-FBI agent Peter Strzok and then-FBI lawyer Lisa Page, the evidence supporting a politically motivated Deep State within the federal government spills out into the open.
Based on my own experience, this particular set of text messages is the tip of the iceberg.
While serving on the House Oversight Committee, I saw firsthand how those in control of our bureaucracy brazenly abuse their power – spying, manipulating and misleading – in an effort to perpetuate their stranglehold on the government.
...The Deep State is not just a conspiracy theory.
No less than our very system of separation of powers and checks and balances is at stake.
While we still have a president willing to check Deep State power, we must act to stop those who are part of the Deep State from undermining the most successful government in the history of the world."

VICTOR DAVIS HANSON---Descent into Progressive Madness | National Review

Descent into Progressive Madness | National Review
"From Dianne Feinstein to John Kerry to Maxine Waters to Cory ‘Spartacus’ Booker, Democrats are losing their marbles.
The progressive street is leading fossilized Democrats into a sort of collective madness.
The dinosaurs of the party desperately seek relevance by sounding crazier than the new unhinged base that disrupts Senate hearings, loudly pronounces a new socialist future, and envisions octogenarian Maxine Waters as more the future of the party than is septuagenarian Nancy Pelosi.
...All that we can say about this new progressivism is the same as what we can say about the cult of sanctuary cities, ensuring universal Medicare for all, and the idea of abolishing ICE:
It operates outside the realm of reason and truth as it descends into collective madness."

Democrats and Deep State howl from the swamp about declassification

The Deep State's power is based on secrets, and ending that privilege is definitely cause for screaming from that group.  Couple that with the Democrats' howls as their Russia, Russia, Russia narrative goes down in flames, and we have a fantastic Bonfire of the Vanities, courtesy of President Trump.  All I can say is, bring it on.

  • A UC Santa Cruz researcher argued that a protected class should be established for "kinky people".
  • He said that while, "if you show up to your job in a latex catsuit, you can be fired for that," employers should not be able to terminate employment based on similar pictures that appear online.
  • The researcher compared the belief that kinky people will sexually assault children to the belief that gay people will abuse children.

..."Your boss should not be able to go search online, find photos of you somewhere wearing a latex catsuit and then fire you because they think you’re a pervert.”..

Brett Kavanaugh Accusations Should Be Ignored | National Review:

Image result for flickr commons images brett kavanaughIt is almost impossible to overstate the damage done to America’s moral compass by taking the charges leveled against Judge Brett Kavanaugh seriously.
It undermines foundational moral principles of any decent society.
Those who claim that the charges against Judge Kavanaugh by Christine Blasey Ford are important and worth investigating and that they ultimately, if believed, invalidate his candidacy for the U.S. Supreme Court are stating that:

Is Dianne Feinstein the Most Corrupt Senator in the United States?

Is Dianne Feinstein the Most Corrupt Senator in the United States?:

Image result for wikicommons images Dianne FeinsteinTo date, only one fairly obscure member of Congress has asked our intel people—in this case, the FBI--to look into the alarming case of a Chinese agent becoming her office manager and personal chauffeur. An excerpt from Rep. Jim Banks’ letter to FBI Director Wray:
It has recently come to light that U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein, the former chair of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, employed a staff member who was using his position to secretly report information to the Ministry of State Security in China. Given the type of information Senator Feinstein had access to and China’s position as a top foreign adversary of the United States, this revelation is alarming.
The Chinese agent is apparently working without annoyance in California. Feinstein is running for reelection. I wonder if he is planning to vote for her.

"Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI) told men to "shut up and step up" when it comes to Brett Kavanaugh's sexual assault accusation.
Asked whether her being one of four women on the Senate Judiciary Committee impacts the Kavanaugh confirmation proceedings, Senator Hirono says, "I just want to say to the men of this country: Just shut up and step up. Do the right thing for a change."
"Not only do women like Dr. Ford, who bravely comes forward, need to be heard, but they need to be believed. They need to be believed," Hirono said..."See the source image

"Hitler repeatedly praised Marx privately, stating he had “learned a great deal from Marxism.” The trouble with the Weimar Republic, he said, was that its politicians “had never even read Marx.” He also stated his differences with communists were that they were intellectual types passing out pamphlets, whereas “I have put into practice what these peddlers and pen pushers have timidly begun.”

It wasn’t just privately that Hitler’s fealty for Marx surfaced. In “Mein Kampf,” he states that without his racial insights National Socialism “would really do nothing more than compete with Marxism on its own ground.” Nor did Hitler eschew this sentiment once reaching power. As late as 1941, with the war in bloom, he stated “basically National Socialism and Marxism are the same” in a speech published by the Royal Institute of International Affairs.

The Problem of Identity Politics and Its Solution - Imprimis:

Image result for wikicommons images Irving KristolUnder the new leftist dispensation, the study of English became the application of critical and literary theory to disparate texts so as to uncover the hidden power relations they concealed. The study of history became the study of social history or “people’s history,” the record of Western Civilization’s oppression of various groups. And popping up everywhere were new departments of “studies”: African-American Studies, Women’s Studies, Queer Studies, Chicano Studies, Gender Studies, and so on. “What these radicals blandly call multiculturalism,” wrote Irving Kristol,

is as much a “war against the West” as Nazism and Stalinism ever were. Under the guise of multiculturalism, their ideas—whose radical substance often goes beyond the bounds of the political into sheer fantasy—are infiltrating our educational system at all levels.

Furious and fuming: Broadcasters saturate airwaves with adjectives to portray Trump as unstable - Washington Times
"Broadcasters have a very limited lexicon when it comes to describing President Trump according to a 9-month study of the exact words used in major broadcast coverage.
Mr. Trump is primarily described as angry, fuming and outraged — and it’s a calculated strategy.
“TV news reporters have saturated the airwaves with subjective language about the President’s emotional state, most of it casting him as an out-of-control hothead,” wrote Rich Noyes and Bill D’Agostino, both senior analysts for Newsbusters.org, a conservative press watchdog.
See the source imageThey looked at every single broadcast evening news story about the president from Jan. 1 through Sept. 10, then tallied the number of times these bombastic terms were used.
“Broadcast journalists were most likely to describe the President as angry, often using highly-charged words to paint him as unhinged or out-of-control,” the analysts said.
“Viewers heard Trump variously described as ‘furious’ (17 times), ‘fuming’ (14), ‘outraged’ (8), ‘venting’ (5), ‘infuriated’ (5), ‘livid’ (3), ‘enraged’ (3), ‘seething’ (2), or just plain-old ‘angry’ (23).
“When Trump communicated, he was said to be ‘lashing out’ (53), on a ‘tirade’ (8), ‘blasting’ (5), or ‘erupting’ (3),” they wrote.
“The President was also ‘on the warpath,’ ‘volcanic,’ ‘unglued,’ ‘spoiling for a fight”’and even ‘went ballistic,’ according to reporters at various times this year.”..."

$50 million sexual harassment lawsuit shines light on Columbia’s staff-student sex policy - The College Fix:
"Staff apparently not forbidden from pursuing romantic or sexual relationships with students
Columbia University’s policy on sexual and romantic relationships between students and staff appears to permit those relationships even when there is a “supervisory, advisory or mentoring context.”

Doe is seeking $50 million in damages.
...The suit claims that, following this, Harford “used his power and influence at Columbia to coerce Doe into an inappropriate sexual and romantic relationship.”
Further, it also states that Harford told stories about his “violent past” in order to “intimidate” Doe, and that the dean exploited her reliance on scholarship funding as “bait” to keep her in the relationship.
The alleged relationship itself may have been permissible under university policy..."
