Victor Davis Hanson---Impeachment Coup Analytics – American Greatness

See the source imageImpeachment Coup Analytics – American Greatness:
  • The Democrats have exhausted every other mechanism for destroying Trump—and they are running out of time before November 2020 election.
"Aside from the emotional issue that Democrats, NeverTrumpers, and celebrities loathe Donald Trump, recently Representative Al Green (D-Texas) reminded us why the Democrats are trying to impeach the president rather than just defeat him in the 2020 general election.
“To defeat him at the polls would do history a disservice, would do our nation a disservice,” Green said.
“I’m concerned that if we don’t impeach the president, he will get re-elected.”
Translated, that means Green accepts either that Trump’s record is too formidable or that the agendas of his own party’s presidential candidates are too frightening for the American people to elect one of them.
And that possibility is simply not permissible..."

The intelligence community secretly removed the requirement that whistleblowers must have "first-hand information" of wrongdoings in order to fast-track allegations to Congress prior to a CIA officer's complaint against President Donald Trump, reducing the threshold for informants to merely check a box stating, "I heard about it from others."

The ease with which the 2015 transaction was approved by the Obama administration alarmed Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, who is looking into whether the Obama-Biden White House intervened in the process.

Chernobyl Wildlife Thriving as Scientists Find Exclusion Zone Full of Animals
"The word "Chernobyl" likely conjures up eerie images of buildings long-abandoned by residents who fled the nuclear fallout.
Image result for CHERNOBYL WILDLIFE But the area in Ukraine is far from deserted, as evidenced by a study showing how a wide variety of animals, from eagles to otters, live there.
After the Chernobyl power plant exploded in 1986, causing what is generally regarded as the worst nuclear disaster in history, humans abandoned an area spanning 1,000 square miles north of Kiev, known as the exclusion zone.
Since then, scientists have been fascinated by the animals that might inhabit this desolate pocket of Ukraine bordering Belarus.
..."We've seen evidence of a diversity of wildlife in the CEZ through our previous research, but this is the first time that we've seen white-tailed eagles, American mink and river otter on our cameras," commented James Beasley, co-author of the new study and associate professor at the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory and the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources..."

To Help the Poor, Focus on Poverty Reduction Rather than Inequality--Dan Mitchell | International Liberty

Dan Mitchell | International Liberty
"To Help the Poor, Focus on Poverty Reduction Rather than Inequality
"Here’s a simple quiz to determine whether you should support a candidate like Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren: Would you embrace a policy that increased income for poor Americans by 10 percent if it also happened to increase income for rich Americans by 15 percent?
Normal people automatically say yes. After all, they don’t resent rich people and they want lower-income people to enjoy better living standards.
Some of our left-leaning friends (including at the IMF!), however, are so fixated on inequality that they are willing to deprive the poor so long as higher-income people have even larger losses (Margaret Thatcher nailed them on this issue).
Let’s look at some analysis of this issue....
...Let’s close with a chart from Mark Perry showing that ever-greater numbers of Americans are climbing the income ladder.
P.S. This data from China is the most powerful and persuasive that I’ve seen on why growth matters far more than inequality...

“How many self-righteous lectures are we going to hear about national security, delivered by the very people who gave us open borders and an endless string of pointless wars?” Carlson continued, arguing that Democrats didn’t care at all about national security. “There is no moral component to any of this. They saw an opening to grab power and they are taking it.”

A true scientific detective story-By Betty Friedan
See the source imageHow a rising of the ocean waters may flood most of our port cities within the foreseeable future — and why it will be followed by the growth of a vast glacier which may eventually cover much of Europe and North America.
THIS is the story of two scientists, who started five years ago — with a single radiocarbon clue from the ocean bottom and a wild hunch — to track down one of the earth’s great unsolved mysteries: What caused the ancient ice ages?
Their search led over many continents and seas, to drowned rivers and abandoned mountain caves, into far-removed branches of science.
It took them down through recorded history, from the stone tablets of primitive man to contemporary newspaper headlines..."

Politicians Call for Wales to Be Transformed Into World's First Migrant 'Sanctuary'
"Politicians in Wales are campaigning to transform the country into the world’s first “nation of sanctuary” for “refugees and asylum seekers”.
The Welsh Assembly’s Equality, Local Government and Communities Committee has published a report which chairman John Griffiths (Labour) hopes will help advance the Welsh Government’s goal of becoming a sanctuary, a commitment agreed in principle in 2012.
...“The constant news cycle of images and stories of people escaping war and persecution in Syria, Iraq and other countries brings home the tragedy of current world events and the stories people have told us during this inquiry have been both harrowing and distressing but ultimately inspiring,” said Griffiths.
“It is critical that there is the right support available to [migrants] when they reach Wales so that they can participate fully in Welsh life and have fulfilling lives in their new communities.”

"New England Patriot quarterback Tom Brady is one of the most accomplished and decorated NFL stars of all time, but Kyle Kusz, an associate professor of kinesiology at the University of Rhode Island has a much different take on the 42-year-old.
According to Campus Reform, Kusz does not think Brady's popularity stems from his six Superbowl titles but instead due to white supremacy and white male rage.
..."Quarterback Tom Brady has gained popularity due to the 'latest wave of white rage and white supremacy,'" wrote Kusz.
According to Kusz, this popularity began with the election of former President Barack Obama, parallel to "a disturbing racial reaction among white conservatives in response to the idea that a black man would be [president]."...
