3 Chicago police officers died by suicide in one week, total of 7 in 2022: Experts react | Fox News:
Over the past four years, 20 Chicago police officers are believed to have died from suicide and a 2017 Justice Department research study concluded that officers in the Chicago Police Department are 60% more likely to die from suicide than officers in the average police department.
"It's a tragic trend that's been going on for years," retired Chicago Police Department Chief of Detectives Eugene Roy told Fox News Digital, explaining that city leaders have engaged in a policy of "benign neglect" that is "costing people their lives."

The rule states that, as of Jan. 1, 2023, any vehicle weighing at least 14,000 pounds operating in the state must not have an engine that was manufactured prior to 2010. The board's justification for requiring engines that had not even been built yet at the time the regulation was passed was based on the theory that future engines would do a better job of reducing emissions.
"When we passed the regulations in 2008, it was to reduce community exposure of toxic air contaminants, it is 100% to protect public health," a spokesman for the Air Resources Board told KCRA-TV.

Caroline Garrett, the principal of one of the schools, Wy’East Middle School, told Dodge on the first day to “use his better judgement.” On the second day, she allegedly said, “What is the [expletive] deal with you and your hat!” and called the teacher a racist and bigot before telling him to bring his union representative the next time they spoke.
