Galen Institute Updates List of Changes to ObamaCare: Forty-six...so far:
"The Galen Institute today released an updated version of its list of significant changes made to the Affordable Care Act by the Obama administration, the Congress, and the U.S. Supreme Court since the law was passed in March of 2010.
Today’s list includes four additional changes made by the Obama administration, most of them contrary to statutory language.
By our count, more than 46 significant changes have been made to the law: at least 28 that the administration has made unilaterally, 16 that Congress has passed and the president has signed, and 2 by the Supreme Court. Here are the latest additions:"

Yeah, we gotta control ourselves. Tell that to the Parisian Jews!-------NBC's Andrea Mitchell Frets Over Muslims 'Under Fire' in Europe

NBC's Andrea Mitchell Frets Over Muslims 'Under Fire' in Europe:

"One day after a brutal terrorist attack in Paris by Islamic radicals, MSNBC host Andrea Mitchell spent much of her Thursday show wringing her hands over Muslims in France and Europe being "under fire."
Talking to Muslim Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison, Mitchell worried:
"This is a challenge for France, which has had a lot of negative legal actions and restrictive laws and a large Muslim community....What is the challenge as they approach this manhunt to not begin racial or religious profiling?"
In a follow-up question, she proclaimed:
"And there were reports in the French press today that three mosques may have been targeted in some way, three mosques in France....it's really going to be incumbent upon French and world leaders and European leaders, where immigration and the Muslim population has been under fire.""

Read their book. The told us they want a religious war-----Le Pen May Gain as Magazine Attack Strains French Divide

Le Pen May Gain as Magazine Attack Strains French Divide - Businessweek:
France’s Front National leader Marine Le Pen pinned the blame for the killing of 12 people in Paris yesterday on Islamic radicals, as mainstream leaders tried to downplay the religious dimension of the attack.
While President Francois Hollande called for national unity in an attempt to deter the public from demonizing the country’s 5-million strong Muslim community,
Le Pen said France has to confront the beliefs of the gunmen who stormed the offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.
“Time’s up for denial and hypocrisy,” Le Pen, who has railed against immigration, said in a video posted on her party’s website.
“The absolute rejection of Islamic fundamentalism must be proclaimed loudly and clearly.”

Want to See What It Looks Like When a World Leader Makes a Strong Statement on Terrorism? Here’s Canada’s Stephen Harper… | Video | TheBlaze.com:

"Speaking publicly for the first time since the tragedy, Harper did not mince words, telling Canadians, “The fact of the matter is this, ladies and gentlemen, that the international jihadist movement has declared war.” Adding, “They have declared war on anybody who does not think and act exactly as they wish would think and act.”

A very calm Harper talked about the radical islamists waging war on “a whole range of countries with which they are in contact.”

6 Times The Obama Administration Said Its Job Was to Promote Islam

6 Times The Obama Administration Said Its Job Was to Promote Islam - Breitbart
On Thursday, White House press secretary Josh Earnest announced that the Obama administration would prioritize fighting Islamophobia in the aftermath of the terrorist attack on Charlie Hebdo in France.
Never mind that most Westerners aren’t Islamophobic, but rather gettingShotInTheFaceForExpressingMyOpinion-Phobic.
The real problem, according to the Obama administration, is lack of leadership in defending Islam:
There are some individuals that are using a peaceful religion and grossly distorting it, and trying to use its tenets to inspire people around the globe to carry out acts of violence. And we have enjoyed significant success in enlisting leaders in the Muslim community, like I said, both in the United States and around the world to condemn that kind of messaging, to condemn those efforts to radicalize individuals, and to be clear about what the tenets of Islam actually are.  And we’re going to redouble those efforts in the days and weeks ahead.
This, of course, is not the first time the Obama administration has discovered a duty to illuminate the inherent beauty and wonder of Islam. Over and over again, the Obama administration, in high culturally imperialist dudgeon, has attempted to explain to the world the true meaning of Islam.

Al Qaeda Claims It Directed France Attacks | TheBlaze.com:

"Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula directed the attack against the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris “as revenge for the honor” of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad, a member of the group told The Associated Press on Friday.

At least one of the two brothers involved in the attack travelled to Yemen in 2011 and either received training from or fought alongside the group, according to U.S. and Yemeni officials. A U.S. intelligence assessment described to the AP shows that Said Kouachi was trained in preparation to return home and carry out an attack."

The Grover Norquist Show: Leave Vapers Alone! | Americans for Tax Reform:
"As I've written before, the top target for tax increases at the state level in 2014 was electronic cigarettes and vapor products.
Politicians, looking to protect their monopoly on cigarette sales and compensate for declining tobacco revenues again have e-cigarettes in their sights in 2015.
Raising the cost of products that will unquestionably save lives makes little sense at face value.
To do so in the name of filling budget holes, "protecting children," or simply expanding the definition of tobacco products is even worse."

U.S. executives wary of hiring millennials: self-involved and disloyal, survey finds:
"‘Parenting styles of recent decades far too enthusiastic about instilling self-esteem,’ social scientist says
As the calendar flips to a new year, the world turns a little grayer.
Another year of college graduates prepares to face the harsh realities of the workplace, slowly but surely remaking the labor force in the image of the millennial.
Much has been documented about how millennials differ from previous generations by having grown up in an era of instantaneous communication and perpetual media exposure.
But are employers responding to these differences?
According to the latest Duke/CFO Magazine Global Business Outlook Survey, not quite.
The survey of chief financial officers found that nearly 60 percent in the United States say their firms are not adapting to attract potential millennial employees, defined in the survey as those under 35.
Companies consider millennials a mixed proposition because while they “offer technological and creative advantages, they tend to be less loyal to the company and require more management oversight,” according to the survey’s press release.
More than half the surveyed CFOs think millennials are more interested in their own career and personal development and less loyal to the company.
Slightly fewer (46 percent) say that younger workers seem to be more entitled than older peers, and 31 percent believe that they require closer supervision."

"At a time when the Western world should be outright condemning this attack and calling upon Islamic religious leaders to set an example by similarly condemning violence in the name of Allah, President Obama tip-toed around the fact that this act of violence was carried out in the name of Islam.

"Beck said the only thing that is missing is greater economic tension, but both he and Hertz agreed that America and the world have not reached the bottom of the current economic downturn.

“The only thing that will work is finding our principles right now,” Beck said. “We are spending so much time talking about how much we despise these people who are doing these things to us, these people who are getting away with murder. We’re not spending enough time talking about the principles that have to be restored. … Restoring principles doesn’t lead to extermination camps. Talking about how much we hate people does. And Europe is going down that road yet again.”

Click link to see "offensive", murderous cartoons-----Charlie Hebdo and its biting satire, explained in 9 of its most iconic covers

Charlie Hebdo and its biting satire, explained in 9 of its most iconic covers - Vox:

"Masked gunmen on Wednesday attacked the Paris offices of Charlie Hebdo, a French magazine known for its biting humor — and, more specifically, for a string of satirical cartoons about Islam and the Prophet Muhammed.

Charlie Hebdo, whose name translates roughly to "Charlie Weekly," is a weekly publication that covers French politics through cartoons, satirical articles, and jokes. Although its editor-in-chief Stéphane Charbonnier, who was killed in the attack, has said that he considered the magazine a leftist-pluralist publication, its stance can perhaps better be described as anti-institutional. Its biting satire habitually targeted the government, high-profile politicians, and organized religion. The magazine was founded in 1969, and was resurrected in 1992 following a three-year hiatus.

Those cartoons have provoked a backlash against the magazine in the past, including a firebomb attack on its offices in 2011. But for the editors of the magazine, the offense was the point: the cartoons were directed as much at public sanctimony about Islam and multiculturalism as they were at their nominal subjects. They believed that the short-term decision to avoid offense would damage French secular culture in the longer term.

#Cowards-----"Screw Your Hashtag Solidarity" :: SteynOnline

"Screw Your Hashtag Solidarity" :: SteynOnline
The fire rages on: As I write, two people have been confirmed dead in a hostage siege at a kosher grocery store in Paris.
It will take more than a hashtag to fix this - which is why I was in a bit of a cranky mood for my weekly interview with Hugh Hewitt:
MARK STEYN: These men were exceptionally brave. Most of the people expressing solidarity with them are not that brave. I'm not that brave. But when the Canadian Islamic Congress attempted to criminalize my writing, I fought back, and I pushed back, and I got a law changed in the Canadian Parliament, because that's how important I think freedom of speech is. But I wasn't asked to die for it like these guys were. And to be honest, it makes me vomit to see people holding these Princess Dianafied candlelit vigils, and using the hashtag #JeSuisCharlie - I am Charlie -and in effect appropriating these guys' sacrifice for this bogus solidarity. It makes me sick to see all these 'the pen is mightier than the sword' cartoons that have appeared in newspapers all over the United States, Canada, Britain, Germany, France, Australia, everywhere, from other cartoonists, again expressing solidarity with these very brave men - but not doing what they did...

These guys are dead because back in 2005, these Danish cartoons were published in an obscure Jutland newspaper, and a bunch of fanatics went bananas and started killing people over them. So a couple of publications on the planet, including mine in Canada, and Charlie Hebdo in Paris, published these cartoons... Le Monde didn't, and the Times of London didn't, and the New York Times didn't, and nobody else did. And as a result, these fellows in Charlie Hebdo became the focus of murderous rage. If we'd all just published them on the front page and said "If you want to kill us, you go to hell, you can't just kill a couple of obscure Danes, you're going to have to kill us all", we wouldn't have this problem. But because nobody did that, these Parisian guys are dead. They're dead. And I've been on enough, I've been on enough events in Europe with less famous cartoonists than these who live under death threats, live under armed guard, have had their family restaurant firebombed - it's happened to a Norwegian comedienne I know - have come home and found their home burned, as a Swedish artist I know happened to. And all these people doing the phony hashtag solidarity, screw your phony hashtag solidarity. Let's have some real solidarity - or if not, at least have the good taste to stay the hell out of it.

More proof that more college students support post-birth abortion

UPDATE: More proof that more college students support post-birth abortion:
"A College Fix article that went viral last fall drew attention to an emerging inclination among young people: pro-life activists who engage college students on campuses across the country are seeing support for so-called “post-birth abortion,” or the killing of infants and young children.
It was a report so shocking, many did not want to believe it.
In response to the article – shared on social media nearly 50,000 times and sparking a national dialogue – Snopes.com attempted to debunk the claim by complaining the piece spun anecdotal evidence into a “study.”
Students for Life also published a piece saying they did not think the trend was real.
However, the article explicitly stated its evidence is anecdotal, based on the many experiences of pro-life activists with Created Equal and Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust, whose members show up at college campuses weekly and engage young people in serious conversations about abortion."

Obama Wants to Make Community College Free, Because Why the Heck Not?

Obama Wants to Make Community College Free, Because Why the Heck Not? - Hit & Run
President Obama teased the nation Thursday night with promises of a glorious "free community college for all" plan. And really, who can be against free stuff?
Obama made the announcement while aboard Air Force One en route from Detroit to Phoenix. He offered few details but did say that the first two years of community college should be free for people putting in the effort to learn those skills:
"Put simply, what I'd like to do is see the first two years of community college free for everybody who's willing to work for it. That's right, free for everybody who is willing to work for it."
Of course, "free" really means "paid for by someone else." I don't think the president is offering to reach into his own pockets to pay everybody's tuition fees, so taxpayers can probably expect the cold hands of government to reach into theirs instead.
On the other hand... free! It's a fun word to say, that's for sure.
Obama will offer a full explanation of his proposal during his forthcoming State of the Union address on Tuesday, January 20. Citizens can expect to hear about lots of other "free" things they will be required fund.

Dear Taxpayer: Does This “Bug” You? [Michigan Capitol Confidential]:
"Reports from the state Capitol late last year were filled with stories of a $1.9 billion tax hike the previous Legislature wants Michigan taxpayers to impose on themselves come May 5.
But hours before that vote it appeared all the state's problems had been solved, because time had been found to introduce the following bill, as described by MichiganVotes.org:
2014 House Bill 6094: Establish official state bug.
....Still, the bill provides another opportunity to explore why career politicians so frequently introduce such puffery.
The answer of course is to curry favor with certain special interests or segments of the population they believe may be helpful for keeping their current jobs, or finding their next elected or appointed government position."
