She listed those criteria as a warning. 
  • The new USCIS policy memo (𝐏𝐌-𝟔𝟎𝟐-𝟎𝟏𝟗𝟗, issued May 21) reframes the entire green card pipeline. 
  • Adjustment of status — the in-country shortcut where someone arrives on a student or tourist visa and then files for permanent residency without ever leaving — is now classified as “𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘧”, granted only in unusual circumstances.
