Per the Fraser Institute, the median wait from referral to treatment hit 𝟑𝟎 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 — the longest ever recorded. 

A typical family of four pays roughly $17,700 a year in taxes to fund the system.
