“𝘍𝘳𝘦𝘦” is the great myth of Canadian healthcare.  - M.A. Rothman@MichaelARothman
  • A Canadian who moved to the US laid out the math: on a $150,000 income in Ontario, you’re taxed at a 34% average rate, with every dollar past $150K taxed at 𝟒𝟔%.
  • In Texas or Florida, that same income is taxed around 16% — and Florida has no state income tax at all.
  • The hidden bill comes due in care you can’t get.
Per the Fraser Institute, the median wait from referral to treatment hit 𝟑𝟎 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 — the longest ever recorded.
A typical family of four pays roughly $17,700 a year in taxes to fund the system.
