Mitch McConnell Did Something Last Night to Senate Dems That Has Them Furious | TheBlaze.com

Mitch McConnell Did Something Last Night to Senate Dems That Has Them Furious | TheBlaze.com:

"Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) late Thursday left Democrats angry and sputtering on the Senate floor, as he used his new power as majority leader to brush off several Democratic amendments in an effort to speed up work on a bill to approve the Keystone pipeline.

McConnell has so far made a point of allowing amendment votes, something Democrats barely allowed for the last few years. Earlier Thursday, McConnell boasted that the Senate had already held more amendment votes on the Keystone bill than Democrats allowed during all of 2014."

Why Does Hollywood Ignore the ‘American Sniper’ Audience?

Why Does Hollywood Ignore the ‘American Sniper’ Audience? | Washington Free Beacon:
unnamed"The bottom line is American Sniper did so well at the box office because the film appeals not just to New York, L.A., and San Francisco, but also to the middle of America—especially cities near major military bases.
...Hollywood ignores the middle of our country.
So much audience out there just WAITING to give their money to these arrogant studios.
If only they had the wisdom to hire more writers, producers, and directors who spoke to this audience.
It makes you wonder … why don’t they?
We keep hearing that all Hollywood cares about is money … well, if that’s the case, then why don’t they capture the money from this audience by creating more content that appeals to them?
....It’s hardly breaking news to say the entertainment industry’s values and priorities are antithetical to the rest of America.
Just look at the dismal performance of HBO’s Girls, a series celebrated and rewarded within the industry but virtually ignored outside of New York and LA.
The question is, will this practice change after the success of American Sniper?"

Five Years After Citizens United Ruling, Obama and the Left Still Griping (While Reaping the Benefits)

Five Years After Citizens United Ruling, Obama and the Left Still Griping (While Reaping the Benefits):

"Five years after the ruling, liberals remain as bitter as ever over their loosened grip on campaign finance and the Supreme Court ruling that continues to enable citizens to influence their political system in a more-direct way than ever before.

While Democrats have long enjoyed the rigged system that allows for a left-leaning media to provide what amounts to unlimited free advertisement for candidates and causes, the 2010 Supreme Court decision now allows a greater influence in politics for all- a notion the left simply cannot stand.

On Wednesday, President Obama issued a statement blasting the Citizens United ruling as “wrong” and hitting upon the common rhetoric surrounding the decision."

This Is The Beginning Of The End For The Euro

This Is The Beginning Of The End For The Euro
The long-anticipated collapse of the euro is here.
When European Central Bank president Mario Draghi unveiled an open-ended quantitative easing program worth at least 60 billion euros a month on Thursday, stocks soared but the euro plummeted like a rock.
It hit an 11 year low of $1.13, and many analysts believe that it is going much, much lower than this.  The speed at which the euro has been falling in recent months has been absolutely stunning.
Less than a year ago it was hovering near $1.40.
But since that time the crippling economic problems in southern Europe have gone from bad to worse, and no amount of money printing is going to avert the financial nightmare that is slowly unfolding right before our eyes.
Yes, there may be some temporary euphoria for a few days, but it is important to remember that reckless money printing worked for the Weimar Republic for a little while too before it turned into an utter disaster.
Now that the ECB has decided to go this route, it is essentially out of ammunition.
The only thing that it could potentially do beyond this is to print even larger quantities of money.
As the global financial crisis begins to unfold over the next couple of years, the ECB is pretty much going to be powerless to do anything about it.
Over the next couple of months, we can expect the euro to continue to head toward parity with the U.S. dollar, and eventually it is going to go to all-time lows.
Meanwhile, the future of the eurozone itself is very much in doubt.
If it does break up, the elite of Europe will probably try to put it back together in some sort of new configuration, but the damage will already have been done.
Over the next 18 months, the European Central bank will create more than a trillion euros out of thin air and will use that money to buy debt.

White lives DO NOT MATTER. MSM tells us. Clearly tells us. Because we never heard of this murder.------Men sentenced to life for murder, torture of Westland teens

Men sentenced to life for murder, torture of Westland teens - Fox 2 News Headlines:

"When Young had his chance to apologize to the families - he did nothing of the sort..
"I'd like to say sorry to the families of Aiyanna Jones, Michael Brown, Eric Garner," Young said.
"And I want to apologize to them for not being able to get justice for their loved ones who was murdered in cold blood - and in respect for the peaceful protest,
I want to say hands up don't shoot.
Black lives matter - that's it your honor."
People in the courtroom reacted in disbelief.
But still - the message from the families of Jacob Kudla and Jourdan Bobbish was one of forgiveness."

They greedy politicians invited fraud!!!-----Driver’s licenses a magnet for immigration fraud in Vermont

Driver’s licenses a magnet for immigration fraud in Vermont « Watchdog.org:
"As California battles a flood of immigrants seeking driver’s licenses after enactment of Assembly Bill 60, Vermont’s Department of Motor Vehicles has found issuing driver’s privileges to illegals can be a magnet for benefits fraud.
In the first week after AB 60 went into effect in January, California’s Department of Motor Vehicles issued more than 11,000 driver’s licenses and processed nearly 50,000 applications for people living illegally in the U.S.
By the end of week two, the number of issued licenses more than doubled, reaching 25,300.
Over the next three years, Golden State taxpayers can expect to pay as much as $220 million to give licenses to 1.4 million undocumented immigrants."

WHICH IS WHICH?:
Driver’s privilege cards look nearly identical to Real ID-compliant driver’s licenses, but it’s the privilege cards that out-of-state migrants prefer most.

NRA News Radio Host Hits Back After TV Host Calls Gun Rights Group ‘Pigs’ and ‘Curse Upon American Landscape’ | TheBlaze.com:

"Gumbel went as far as to say that he “hates” the NRA and accused the group of not caring about “human life,” another point that Edwards said is way off base.

“The NRA members I know value human life enough to want to protect themselves and their families from those who would do them harm,” he shot back. “They’re not pigs. They’re good people.”

Doomsday approaching? Clock ticking closer to midnight

Doomsday approaching? Clock ticking closer to midnight:
Citing unchecked climate change and the ongoing threat of nuclear weapons, scientists Thursday moved the hands of the Doomsday Clock two minutes closer to midnight.
"It is now three minutes to midnight," said Kennette Benedict, the executive director and publisher of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists at a news conference in Washington, D.C.
"The probability of global catastrophe is very high.
This is about the end of civilization as we know it."
Three minutes is the closest to midnight the clock has been since 1984 during the Cold War.
The closest it has ever been to midnight — two minutes— was in 1953, when the hydrogen bomb was first tested.
The closer to a setting of midnight it gets, the closer it's estimated that a global disaster will occur.

Police-fire pensions to go up in smoke?

Police-fire pensions to go up in smoke? | News-Gazette.com
"The more I read about state and local government pensions in Illinois, the worse it gets. Many municipal police and fire pension funds are so woefully underfunded, for example, that they are likely to go up in smoke in not-too-many years.
The basic problem with all underfunded government pensions is that elected officials like to do things for people, especially things that don't have any immediate political cost, that is, don't absolutely require current payment for a deferred benefit.
As many readers know, the Illinois state government pension funds are the worst financed in the nation. Bank giant J.P. Morgan projects that the state will have to devote 40 percent of all its revenues for years to come in order to bring the funds up to self-sufficiency and also cover retiree health benefits.
For many municipal police and fire pension funds the situation is even worse. And because cities are somewhat limited in how they can raise revenue, many of these funds are almost certain to go belly up at some point."

It's the culture, stupid!-------Surveillance Video Shows Tidal Wave Of Looters Ransacking Ferguson, Missouri Market

Surveillance Video Shows Tidal Wave Of Looters Ransacking Ferguson, Missouri Market | The Smoking Gun:
"In a bid to identify more than 180 looters, police today released surveillance video from inside a Ferguson, Missouri market that was ransacked following the November 24 announcement that a grand jury had declined to vote indictments in the Michael Brown case.
As seen below, the 5:16 clip captures a tidal wave of looters flooding into the Dellwood Market, which had also been robbed in the days after Brown was shot to death by a Ferguson cop last August.
After failing to breach the market’s front door, the initial influx of looters broke through a boarded-up window.
Many of the thieves--some of whom escaped with potato chips--are seen wearing hoodies, masks, and hats in an apparent attempt to cloak their identities.

This Shady Move During the SOTU Address Shows What a Conniving, Liar Obama Truly Is

This Shady Move During the SOTU Address Shows What a Conniving, Liar Obama Truly Is:

"There’s only one problem.

Rebekah Erler is not only a former Democrat operative, who worked on the Obama presidential campaign and as a campaign staffer for Washington State Senator Patty Murray, but Obama has previously used her in another snake oil sales attempt.

Rush Limbaugh shed light on this shady move by Barack Obama on his radio show on Wednesday."

Kiss of Death: Obama Mentions Company in SOTU, Then This Happens

Kiss of Death: Obama Mentions Company in SOTU, Then This Happens:

"As part of his attempt to snow over the public, Obama cited what he said are the millions of jobs that people are working in that didn’t exist 10 to 20 years ago. One of the companies he specifically mentioned as a success story in the creation of these jobs was Ebay, the popular online auction site.

Less than 24 hours later,"

This is what liberals call an opportunity, right?  Instead of going to work, they will be able to pursue hobbies and interests.

SOTU Fact Check: College Is Less Affordable And Students Are Billions In Debt - Conn Carroll

SOTU Fact Check: College Is Less Affordable And Students Are Billions In Debt - Conn Carroll:

"When Obama first came into office, the average tuition for a four year in state college was $6,591. Today, it is $9139, a 38 percent increase. The growth in tuition for private schools was even higher.

Meanwhile, house hold median income has fallen from  $54,059 when Obama took office to $51,939 today.

So college tuition has gone up while income has fallen. That is the opposite of making college more affordable."

Hey Paris, You Really Don’t Want to Sue Fox News. Here’s Why | TheBlaze.com

Hey Paris, You Really Don’t Want to Sue Fox News. Here’s Why | TheBlaze.com:

"A government entity, even a municipality, suing a news outlet, especially one with a limited presence in its country, sets a terrible precedent. That’s because it’s not the government’s job to hold the press accountable; on the contrary, it’s the press that keeps government in check.

You and I hold the news media accountable. Every time we change the channel. Or write a blog post. Or point out a factual error on social media.

Media organizations also hold each other accountable. Cable news channels call each other out on errors all the time. And Jon Stewart, well, he gives all of them hell, especially Fox."
